To help you better understand and use the DecodeFX platform, we’ve compiled the following FAQs. These cover everything from account opening to trade execution and aim to provide clear, useful guidance.
I. Accounts & Platform Basics
Is DecodeFX a regulated platform?
Yes. At DecodeFX, we are fully committed to regulatory compliance. The platform is licensed and regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) under license number 700415, and the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius under license number GB25204877. We operate under a multi-jurisdictional compliance framework to ensure trading security and client trust at the highest standard.
What account types does the platform offer?
We offer two primary account types to suit different traders’ needs:
• Standard Account: No service fee; spreads are competitively priced.
• PRO Account: A US$7 round-turn service fee per trade, with lower spreads.
What information is required to open an account?
The process is simple. You only need to provide the following basic information:
• ID document
• Email address
• Mobile phone number
Can I apply for a MAM account?
Yes. If you are a fund manager, you can apply for a MAM (Multi-Account Manager) account. Requirements:
• Total deposits of no less than US$100,000.
• At least 3 active sub-accounts.
Is my money safe?
Client fund safety is our top priority. All client funds are held in segregated trust accounts at AAA-rated banks, completely separated from company operating funds to ensure security.
II. Trading Conditions & Rules
What leverage does the platform offer?
Leverage varies by product, up to 1:1000. Actual levels may adjust based on product category and market conditions. Indicative maximums:
• Major FX pairs: up to 1:1000
• Precious metals: up to 1:1000
• Energies: up to 1:200
• Indices: up to 1:100
• Cryptocurrencies: up to 1:10
Note: Leverage levels may change with market conditions.
What is the stop-out level?
The stop-out level is 50%. When your account equity falls below 50% of used margin, the system will automatically close positions starting from the largest losing trades to prevent your balance from turning negative.
How is margin calculated?
Margin formula: Margin (quote currency) = (Price × Contract Size × Lots) ÷ Leverage
Why does my fill price differ from the price I clicked?
This is called slippage. Under market execution, your order is filled at the first available market price. During high volatility (e.g., news releases), the fill may be better or worse than the clicked price.
Additionally, if major events occur over the weekend, a gap may appear between Friday’s close and Monday’s open, causing orders to execute at the new opening price.
How is overnight interest (swap) calculated?
• FX & Precious Metals: Triple swap on Wednesdays to cover weekend settlement.
• Indices, Cryptocurrencies & Oil: Triple swap on Fridays.
• Futures products: No overnight swap.
III. Funding & Withdrawals
What deposit and withdrawal methods are supported?
Multiple methods are supported and may vary by region and account type. Common options include bank transfer, e-payments, and digital assets. Please check the Funds page for available channels and instructions.
What are the minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts?
• Minimum deposit: US$100
• Minimum withdrawal: US$100
Does the platform charge deposit or withdrawal fees?
DecodeFX does not charge deposit/withdrawal fees. However, payment providers may charge their own fees per their rules. The actual fees are shown on the settlement page.
How long do deposits and withdrawals take?
Typically 1–3 business days to process your request.

How do I download and connect to MetaTrader 4 / MetaTrader 5?

Can I use EAs (Expert Advisors) on the platform?
Yes. MetaTrader 4 fully supports EA automated trading. Please note: EAs are third-party software. DecodeFX does not guarantee their performance, reliability, or trading results.
What if I forget my password?
• Forgot trading password: email support@decodefx.com with the subject “Please reset my trading password.”
• Forgot client portal password: click “Forgot Password” on the client portal login page to reset.
